The ancient Culture Street was reestablished in a large scale by tianjin Real Estate Company in 2003. In the course of renewal of the Ancient Culture Street, not only the reservation and repair was carried out, such as the one-hundred-year aged architecture – Tongqingli, the Taoistic temple – Yuhuangge Pavilion, the Mazu temple – Tianhougong Palace, the historical cililian residence – Jiujia Courtyard, but also the historic relics were excavated and tided up, such as Dashizi Hutong Bystreet, Shuige Avenue, Wawa Hutong Bystreet and so on. The 12 Chinese characters “Jin Men Gu Li”, “Qing Xue” and “Gu Shang Yi Yuan”, “jin Ao” respectively in the south Pailou and the north Pailou display the feature of Tianjin City.
