In response to new priorities, the organizing theme for the 40th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in 2010 is a call to action, "Improve the State of the World: Rethink, Redesign, Rebuild". This ties together the mission statement of the Forum, "Committed to Improving the State of the World" and the need to reassess the current state of global cooperation. By acting as a platform for ideas, the Annual Meeting brings together stakeholders from across society to discuss current global challenges.
