Gou Bu Li was established in 1858 A.D. and has a history of 152 years. After one and a half centuries, not only has Gou Bu Li become a “First Class Renowned Brand Name”, but also a Chinese Food brand that has a strong potential to grow worldwide.

So far, Gou Bu Li Group owns more than 20 sole proprietorships and parent enterprises. The trading arena includes a variety of business, such as high class restaurants, Chinese simple food, frozen food production and distribution, logistics, Green Breeding Base, product research & development, training schools and franchise chain, making the group a multi-enterprise.

Gou Bu Li Group became the only legitimate registered company for Gou Bu Li trademark, also being the first “China’s renowned brand”. Gou Bu Li was among the firsts to be recognized as China’s Traditional Trademark Enterprise, China’s Top Ten Food and Beverage Brand Enterprise and National Renowned Trademark Enterprise. In 2007, Chinese authorities affirmed that Gou Bu Li brand was worth 757 million RMB and was ranked first place in Tianjin and 26th place nation-wide.

In recent years, Gou Bu Li Group has always traced the concept of “credit is the basis, quality is the first” and keeped in mind the mission of “Let the fermentation and steaming food—Gou Bu Li BaoZi contributes to human being’s nutrition & health.” It actively promotes the health concept and devotes itself in the research and development of food-nutrition and food –beverage culture. Gou Bu Li Group makes the Green Breeding Base and the Canadian & Australian imported wheat flour as their dominate raw material sources, to ensure that provides the best and healthiest products for its customers from the beginning. Through continuous innovation, Gou Bu Li has developed close to a hundred new products, including frozen food, China’s first germ-free and freshness-preserving Baozi(buns), sauce products and seasonings, all of which form a unique Gou Bu Li food product line. In 2007, the Great Hall of People appointed Gou Bu Li Baozi for the state banquet use. It is the first enterprise to be granted such hornour among China’s cooked wheaten food industry. Every year, the number of the large banquets which were above the provincial level had reached more than 500 times. Gou Bu Li had been also invited to ZhongNanHai and the Great Hall of People. The Party and State leaders such as Hu Jintao, Jiang Zemin, Wu Bangguo, Wen Jiabao, Jia Qinglin, Li Changchun, Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang, He Guoqiang had given their strong recognition after tasting the Gou Bu Li Baozi which were freshly made on-site. Chairman Hu Jintao praised little Gou Bu Li Baozi and the profound skills involved in making them. Former Chairman Jiang Zemin gave full score to Gou Bu Li Baozi. Those exciting words of encouragment given by the Party and State leaders expressed their special care, which also conveyed their attention to China’s National Brands.

In 2008, Gou Bu Li made an exchange activity for teaching the cooking of Gou Bu Li Baozi to the participants who comes from different world-class enterprises. This activity continued for one and a half hours, and the Forum’s founder Klaus Schwab gave a high praise after he tasted Gou Bu Li Baozi. And he also invited Gou Bu Li to take part in the Winter Anniversary in Swiss. Based on its unique charm of China’s Traditional Brand, Gou Bu Li was populared among more and more international friends which strengthed the grand aspirations of Gou Bu Li staff: to be the world’s most well-known traditional brand through using their several generations’ hard work and selfless dedication.
