The Project to be Fully Completed in July to Welcome the Davos

The workers are heating up the construction materials to ensure that the construction schedule is not affected by weather.

　　On 12th before the Spring Festival, the reporter came to the construction site of the second phase of Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center, a key project of the city, seeing that all the construction workers were busy with their work. At present, the principal part of the second phase of the project has been finished, the shape of a "flying swallow" completely presented. The workers were constructing the outer curtain walls and the roofing insulation project. It is estimated that the interior decoration will be started in mid February this year, and the project fully completed by the end of July, to welcome the 2012 Summer Davos.

　　It is worth mentioning that, for energy saving and environmental protection, the west plaza of the second phase of the center has introduced ground-source heat pump system underground, providing heating and cooling with shallow geothermal energy. Compared with the traditional heating and cooling equipment, the new system, after putting to use, will save over 60% energy, fully reflecting the concept of energy saving and environmental protection.

　　According to introduction, the central part of the second phase of the center has three storeys, partially six storeys, with a maximum height of 45 meters, designed to be conference rooms and offices, places for dining and entertainment, small exhibition halls and related supporting facilities. At present, the main structure has been completed; the "two wings" being a double-layer structure, having four exhibition halls, with a clear height of 38 meters, and the height of the first floor exhibition hall being 45 meters; and each exhibition hall is designed to include 704 standard exhibition booths. The exhibition area covers a total area of 71,860 square meters. Compared with the first phase of the project, the second phase is designed with an underground parking lot, being able to provide parking spaces for over 1300 vehicles, making the supporting facilities in the center more complete.
