On April 7, the first batch of 2012 Tianjin Summer Davos volunteer applicants gathered at Tianjin Construction and Engineering Workers'  University for the first day's interview. In the interview, every ten volunteers in a group took part in the "Scene Simulation" on a given topic, and each had face-to-face communication with English proficiency test examiners and comprehensive quality test examiners.

From September 11 to 13 this year, World Economic Forum 2012 Annual Meeting of New Champions ("Summer Davos Forum" for short) will be held in Tianjin. In accordance with the requirements of Tianjin Summer Davos Forum Preparatory Office, the Municipal League Committee and Tianjin Young Volunteers Association have carried out the online registration for the 2012 Summer Davos volunteers from March 5 to 14 in Tianjin. 16,033 applicants registered via "2012 Annual Meeting of New Champions" host city website and the website of Tianjin Volunteers.

Recently, the Municipal League Committee and Tianjin Young Volunteers Association have issued interview notices to applicants, who had to participate in the interview in groups, with the printed online registration form and voluntary service commitment according to the requirements. The interview comprises foreign language proficiency test and comprehensive evaluation. After the selection, an information database of the applicants will be created by the Municipal League Committee and Tianjin Young Volunteers Association; and the Forum Preparatory Office will allocate volunteers to different positions according to the needs and the characteristics of the volunteers.
