To give further publicity to 2012 Tianjin Summer Davos Forum and make more citizens know, participate and feel Davos, particularly involving college students in discussion of Davos topics, the activity of “2012 Tianjin Summer Davos Forum Visits College Students” was launched in June. As of early July, the activity has been successfully held in Nankai University, Tianjin University, Tianjin Normal University, Tianjin University of Commerce, and Pearl River College of Tianjin University of Finance & Economics.

The activity of “2012 Tianjin Summer Davos Forum Visits College Students” actively introduced the content of Davos Forum, invited celebrities from political, commercial and academic circles to universities and colleges, shared personal experience in participating Summer Davos Forum, and mobilized famous societies of college students to hold “Simulation Forum” on relevant themes, which have combined to enhance Tianjin higher intellectuals’ attention to the Forum and interest in the city’s internationalization progress. During the activity, college students, experts and scholars have conducted discussion respectively on such themes as “growing enterprise and future economy”, “new technological revolution and world economic development”, “capitalism and democracy”, “creativity changes the world”, and “whether China can become a new global center of hi-tech innovation”, with which the activity has obtained general welcome from experts, scholars, college students and entrepreneurs. They think “Simulation Forum” can directly help improve students’ organizing, thinking and expressing abilities, hoping this activity can get widely promoted in higher schools.

At the end of August, student representatives from the five higher schools will meet at Meijiang Convention & Exhibition Center to hold a “Simulation Plenary Session” for the activity. By then people from government, business, higher education and media sectors will be invited to witness the grand occasion of “Simulation Forum”.
