Tianjin Taxi Industry Enhances Services to Welcome Summer Davos Forum

With the start of Summer Davos Forum over 30 days away, in order to welcome this Annual Meeting, all taxi drivers in Tianjin are making efforts to comprehensively upgrade their service level throughout the industry, hoping to provide quality services to domestic and foreign guests to the meeting and showcase a fresh image of the “city card”.

According to the municipal passenger transport management department, many measures will be taken from this day on to upgrade taxi service level, such as amending and improving the service code of conduct for taxi drivers, whose content include “Three Proper” for operating preparation, i.e. proper professional dressing, proper operating facility and proper vehicle appearance; “Ten Qualified” for operating services, i.e. qualified smile to greet passengers, qualified GPS dispatching, qualified route selection, qualified traveling, qualified driving, qualified response to emergencies, qualified quotations and charges, qualified active payment, qualified politeness to say goodbye, and qualified follow-up work; “Five Remember” after operating, i.e. remember to put up the suspension sign in a timely manner, remember to replace white seating in a timely manner, clean and arrange the wagon box to check if there is any article left by passengers, remember not to put the operating certificate inside the taxi, remember to collect the daily operating data, and remember to park the car in a standard parking lot. All taxi drivers in the industry will be trained in five aspects, professional skills, professional discipline, professional norms, professional attainment, and professional integrity; Measures to Management Key Area Taxi Stations in Tianjin has been implemented to ensure an orderly operation of taxi stations and key taxi stations will be supervised by special personnel in 24 hours.

To ensure a sufficient supply of taxis during the Summer Davos Forum, the municipal passenger transport department will use passenger transport dispatching service center to uniformly dispatch 4,500 vehicles equipped with GPS terminals and guarantee telephone reserved services. Mobile patrol cars will be available to maintain the order of taxis in major places related to the Forum. According to the number of vehicles required by the main venue and related hotels and restaurants, vehicles drivers from the “Volunteer Service Squad” of the taxi industry will be arranged, and each service point will have specific drivers and vehicles.

Meanwhile, the municipal passenger transport department will conduct public appraisal activities for “Top 10, Top 100, Top 1000” advanced models in the taxi industry to select “Tianjin’s Top 10 Star Taxi Drivers, Top 100 Model Taxi Drivers, Top 1000 Star-rated Drivers”, propagandize advanced model stories, and foster a good atmosphere of “comparing, learning, chasing, helping and overtaking” and a new air in the industry.
