2012 Tianjin Summer Davos themed “Creating Future Economy”will be opened grandly on September 11. This is the third time for Tianjin to host “Annual Meeting of New Champions”. Since application, through the works done in providing software and hardware and high-class meeting services and in actively participating in design of forum topics, the city has seized this opportunity and drawn the attentions from all over the world to listen attentively to the topics designed by China and Tianjin’s voice as well.

Tianjin, marching forward into the world, has endeavored for the world to learn about the city and for Tianjin to integrate with the world by means of trade, investment and other modes of economic cooperation as well as creating a platform for the exchange of leading-edge thinkings. Since this January, while preparing for Summer Davos in reception, traffic, hotels, volunteering, city appearance and commercial security, Tianjin Municipal Government, holding hands with National Development and Reform Commission, has launched 2012 forum topic research. Tianjin has contributed 24 topics and 18 research projects for this year’s forum that are related to the topics initially drafted by WEF.

During the period of this year’s forum, Tianjin Municipal Government recommends to international guests Industry Tour Route and Culture Tour Route. Tourism is a highlight of modern Tianjin service industry. Tianjin will host 2012 China’s Tourism Industry Exposition after the end of Davos, and the tourism sector will consider Davos as the preface to it and promote folk culture and characteristic health day in the rest of the year. The Cultural Center, the reception room of the city, “Five Courts” on Taian Road and other new landmarks have been put into use. The Haihe River reveals its beauty in both daytime and nights, and the cruise boats has become a new spectacle Haihe on the Haihe River.
