  Tianjin’s GDP in the first three quarters increased by 12.6%

  In the first three quarters, Tianjin’s economy realized stable and rapid growth; production and efficiency grew at the same pace; the economic development was steady and high-quality. As primarily calculated and verified through assessment by the State Statistical Bureau, in the first three quarters of 2013, Tianjin’s GDP reached RMB 1022.304 billion, which, if calculated according to comparable price, secured a growth rate of 12.6% over the previous year. In terms of the three industries, the primary industry GDP increased by RMB 11.939 billion with a growth rate of 3.6%; the secondary industry GDP increased by RMB 544.405 billion with a growth rate of 12.8%, of which the industrial GDP increased by RMB 502.945 billion with a growth rate of 12.8%, driving the city’s economy to increase by 6.6% with a contribution rate of 52.4%; the tertiary industry GDP increased by RMB 465.960 billion with a growth rate of 12.6%.
