In October, Jixian County launched a new round of water resource protection project, in which four measures are implemented to make Tianjin’s “large water tank” provide cleaner water. These four measures are adjusting agricultural planting structure, constructing civilized ecological villages, transforming livestock and poultry raising technologies and managing reservoir closed management. In order to guarantee drinking water safety for citizens, Jixian County will adjust the crop structure of the 83,000 mu farms surrounding Yuqiao Reservoir and vigorously develop green agriculture, high-efficiency agriculture and ecological agriculture to reduce water pollution caused by applying fertilizers and farm chemicals.
