Tianjin continuously implements 20 projects in the public interest

　　Since 2007, Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and Municipal People’s Government have adhered to annual implementation of 20 projects in the public interest and have made it an important means to secure and improve people's livelihood. During the past 7 years, continuously implementing 140 major items which consisted of 903 sub-items has solved a large number of problems regarding people’s most concerned, most direct and most practical interests, improved the quality and level of people’s life, and promoted economic development and social harmony and stability, and this is very popular among the majority of the public. In 2013, Tianjin’s 20 projects in the public interest are progressing very well. By the end of September, among 61 sub-items, 11 have already been finished in advance or above quota, and the remaining 50 sub-items are accelerating the implementation process with part of them entering the acceptance phase.
