As usual, “2014 China Tourism Industry Expo” focused on the theme of “a pageant in tourism industry, and a platform for win-win cooperation”. Planes, campers, cruises, yachts, wood cabins and other large tourism equipment and facilities, as well as the “smart tourism” exhibition all appeared in the expo. Smart tourism achievement, as represented by the Multifunctional Cards for Jing-Jin-Ji Tourism, became a highlight in the expo. Attendants to this event came from 18 countries and regions, including domestic visitors from 25 provinces and municipalities, and more than 500 travel equipment manufacturers and marketers with their latest products. The number of visitors was nearly 250 000. The transaction and intention value for campers, yachts, touring coaches, and other tourism facilities and commodities increased remarkably. The Expo promoted the development of tourism industry, especially the tourism equipment manufacturing industry, expanded the influence of Tianjin, and enhanced the city’s profile and reputation.
